Définition
John Evershed, né le 26 février 1864 à Gomshall (Angleterre) et mort le 17 novembre 1956 à Ewhurst (Angleterre), est un astronome anglais. Il a été le premier à observer les mouvements radiaux des taches solaires, un phénomène maintenant connu sous le nom d'effet Evershed.
