Hough transform

an algorithm for identifying desired objects (e.g. straight lines) in image data by mapping each input point (from an edge detector) to all possible objects that is could be part of, and incrementing histogram counters for each such object. After the whole input image has been processed, histogram counters with high counts identify objects.
