Oversegmentation
is the process through which objects being segmented from images are themselves broken down into separate fragments. The goal in oversegmentation is not to segment an image into distinguishable high-level objects, but into smaller “super pixel” regions that are approximately uniform in color and texture. Python is widely used as a programming language in oversegmentation.
